Air pollution issues are one of the most challenging environmental problems facing the international community. Several studies and research have demonstrated the wide-spread nature of the air pollution phenomena and have explored their impacts on human health and the environment. Air pollution can be described as contamination of the atmosphere by liquid, solid, gaseous, wastes or by-products that can adversely affect humans and the ecosystem. As a result of the increasing threats caused by air pollution to human health including respiratory disease, cancer and cardiovascular disease. In addition, the natural environment around the world also affected by acid rain, ozone depletion, forest damage, wildlife damage and climate change. Human activities are the main responsible for all these adverse effect. International cooperation in terms of research and development, management policy, control and policy is essential for effective control of air pollution.
Oman international environmental scientific conference brings together contributions from academic scientists, researchers and research scholars as well as expertise and officials from government, private sectors and non-governmental organizations from around the world to present and discuss the most recent work and innovations. The forum also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent scientific exchange, research results, innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of management and control of air pollution.
